The top adventure tours website was born out of a passion for adventure trips that is shared by both my wife and me.Between us we have completed over forty adventure trips (particularly in the form of African safaris) and we are very fortunate to stay close to the Kruger National Park in South Africa which makes it possible for us to go on safari regularly.
But we began to wonder what adventure trips in other parts of the world are like and if they would measure up to the ones that we had already been on. And so the idea of compiling a ranking list of the top adventure tours worldwide began to take shape.
We have relied heavily on trip reviews and reports from past visitors to the adventure tour destinations (and our own experiences) to determine which should be on the list and where they should rank because who knows better what a trip is really like than a traveler who has already been there and experienced it?
One of our ambitions is to eventually visit each and every adventure tour destination on the ranking list before they and the wildlife that makes them so special are lost forever due to habitat destruction.
Conservation Through Tourism
Another ambition is that the website will help others to learn more about and visit these incredible natural destinations that we are so privileged to still be able to enjoy so that they can be conserved for future generations.
The money that you spend on your trip contributes to motivating local people to conserve their environment.
The sad fact is that virtually every nature destination and animal that appears on the top adventure tours list is in very real danger of disappearing forever because of mans destruction of his natural environment. In some cases a trip there will represent a last chance to see an animal before it becomes extinct in the very near future.
If this website can play a small part in motivating and helping others to visit these destinations and thereby contribute to their continued existence we will consider it a success.
It will be an immeasurable disaster to just let these natural wonders and treasures slip off the face of the earth forever. It's up to all of us to protect them.
